Workshop of the FRABio and Chevreul Research Federations

Séminaire
Amphithéâtre Appert, PolyTech’Lille (Campus cité scientifique)

Life Sciences and Materials Sciences use many common analysis technologies such as mass spectrometry, NMR, X-ray crystallography, as well as electron microscopy.

In last years we have seen at the campus of the University of Lille "Sciences and Technologies", the creation of a modern infrastructure of instruments in transmission electron microscopy (MET) with high performances and complementary to each other. These are subject of increasing interactions and exchange of skills between the staff of the platforms of the two federations.

This morning aims to better inform the users of the two scientific communities on the existence of this infrastructure and its possibilities, as well as to encourage exchanges between researchers, lecturers, technical staff, etc., in the field of both Life Sciences and Materials Science.

During this morning, you will be presented with the two electron microcopy platforms on the campus of the University of Lille "Sciences and Technologies", with multiple examples of applications in their respective fields. These presentations will be followed by 2 conferences led by international renowned speakers, illustrating the ultimate possibilities of each of the two disciplines.

Participation in this half-day is free but registration is mandatory so that we can ensure the logistics (response before October 23). Please find the programme here.

Dominique Legrand and Guy Buntinx, directors of the FRABio and Chevreul Federations
